An early Morning

Nathan woke up far too early for my tastes. I put him in timeout in his room yesterday during piano lessons, but then got very involved in the lesson, kind of forgeting Nathan was in his room. Now, Oren would have just let himeself out after a bit, but Nathan stays in there until I let him out. And since he was in there for a while, he decided that he was a bit tired and laid down. After lessons were over I realized the house was rather quiet and asked Oren where Nathan was. "Sleeping." Great.... I couldn't get him to wake up so I decided to just let him sleep.

Well, sometime during the evening he messed his diaper without waking up. Instead he woke up at 5:45 with a very sore bottom, crying. So I got up and cleaned him up, gave him a nice warm bubble bath. He doesn't often get baths without his brothers climbing in too, so he thoroughly enjoyed that. I was trying to stay awake. And of course the bath woke him up all the way and energized him for the day, so I put my contacts in (which wakes me up) and settled him with a movie. I won't get the other kids up for 10-15 minutes and then the fun begins.

On the plus side, Nathan's hair got washed and is laying down for once, so he won't be going to school with a huge cowlick/mohawk on his head. A silver lining?

I would say a silver lining indeed! :)

If you are ever up early, just remember I am 2 hours later--and most likely awake! Am always happy to chat online .:)

Amazing how fickle naps can be; they can either make or break the routine for the day!
