A nice, big 2x4...

That sounds lovely about 11:30 at night. As sweet as Chloe is, she seems to have some seperation anxiety about that time, and commences howling and barking. Last night, I really wanted some annonymous stranger to come waltzing into my room, holding a 2x4, and pop me in the head with it! But that's fine.

Today has been a nice calm day so far. This afternoon will probably be hectic, but right now all is quiet. No one is sick, and Nathan is at school, William is napping. Mark is still sleeping, and Oren is discussing how different letters make different sounds. I am amazed every time I look at him, since I had to shave his head. It makes him look so much older! He is so long and lanky. Sometimes it seems that the only thing that remains of my little baby is the fact that he still has a lisp. I was asked if I wanted him in therapy for the lisp.... Ha. No. No more therapy, I don't need one more thing in my schedule! Plus, I like it. It's endearing. What a love...

So remind me... How old is Oren? Madison has a lisp, but I have no idea when I should start to be concerned. I know that, in the grand scheme of things, it really shouldn't matter, but I do occasionally wonder about it.

Ditto to what Rachel said. As long as there are kids in my house, there will not be a dog. They're just so much cuter when they belong to someone else.

Oren is 5 1/2. There is a lot of words he still says wrong unless he watches our mouth carefully when we say it. I need to have his hearing checked, but just haven't done it yet. Morgan lisped until he was 12 or 13, then taught himself how to speak correctly, because no one else his age lisped. Kids will usuall grow out of it. If she still does it at 8 or 9, that may cause self esteem issues, but for now it's just because Madison is learning all the different ways her mouth moves, and "s" is a tricky sound to get out at a young age. Ask your doctor, but I wouldn't worry about it yet.
